WheresBob > In May 2004, I rented an apartment at 10 Rue Tresor, a pedestrian street in the Marais. I first saw Tresor in January while apartment hunting for May. Although the street was torn up for renovation, I fell in love with the location. It is truely the heart of the Marais. When I returned to take the apartment in May, I was stunned. The renovation was complete. Tresor was transformed into a showcase for the Marais. Tresor is one short block long. The photo shows the entire street. Pedestrian streets are very rare in old Paris. My apartment is just to the left of where the two women are map reading.
WheresBob > Here is a board that explains the renovation. Photos of before and after are shown. Select Large to see the text.
WheresBob > From my window, daytime, left side view.
WheresBob > Same view but at night. The cafes glow while diners linger at tables. In June, there is still sunlight after 10PM.
WheresBob > From my window, at night, right side.
WheresBob > View of the corner of my building.
WheresBob > One of the many restaurants within 100 meters.
WheresBob > Warning: The Surgeon General has determinted that you will get fat from looking at this photo an artisan ice creamery.
WheresBob > Easy access to several chocolatiers.
